You might ask what makes our deodorant better than the 'cheaper' ones. Well, there are quite
a few answers to that question, and it would probably be easier to just say "Everything!"
If you believe that body odour comes from sweating, you are only partially correct. Body odour is actually a by-product of the sweat coming into contact with the bacteria on your skin. Eliminate one or the other, and you have eliminated body odour. However, it is not terribly healthy to try to stop your body from sweating as sweating regulates your body's temperature, and eliminates a small fraction of the toxins you come into contact with on a daily basis. Eliminating the bacteria from this equation is obviously the better choice; enter the mineral salt deodorant.

- How is that different?
Most deodorants on the market are made of chemicals formulated in laboratories. These are non-natural, non-healthy chemicals that can be very harsh to your system.
When you apply our product, the mineral salts form a topical layer on the skin. The bacteria that cause body odour cannot reproduce in these crystal salts. Hence no more body odour.
- How do normal deodorants work?
Most normal deodorants mask body odour with a perfumed scent of its own, or use alcohol to shrink pores.
Other brands employ various forms of aluminium (aluminium chlorohydrate, aluminium zirconium, etc…), which enter the pores physically blocking or clogging them in order to reduce the flow of sweat.
Our deodorants are completely hypoallergenic and environmentally safe. As they are non-sticky they will not stain or otherwise adversely affect your clothing (even the most delicate, such as silk).

- How should I use it for best results?
Ideally, our deodorants should be applied to the skin directly after you've bathed. In that way, the bacteria that cause odour have not yet had the chance to form on the skin, and the barrier that our deodorant provides is at its peak effectiveness.
- How long is it good for?
As a mineral salt, our deodorant is basically inert. It does not actually have a shelf-life and will remain equally effective from the day you purchase it to the day you finally have so little stone left that it's nearly impossible to use.
- Can I use this with an antiperspirant as well?
That would be somewhat redundant - much like applying Secret Antiperspirant and Ban Deodorant simultaneously. Our deodorants are extremely effective as stand-alone deodorants. A backup deodorant is not necessary.
Many people who are used to an antiperspirant ask this sort of question because they desire the effectiveness of our product but still do not wish to sweat. Most soon realise, however, that it is the body odour they are most concerned about, not the sweating itself, and are eventually quite satisfied with our deodorant.
- Does it contain aluminium?
Our deodorants contain alum, which is the mineral salt version of aluminium. However, it is nothing like the aluminium chlorohydrate or aluminium zirconium compounds found in 'mainstream' deodorants. In rough, layman terms, a mineral salt is a tad large to seep into the pores in quantities that other chemicals can and/or do.
- How pure are they?
Our Deodorant Stone has a minimum purity level of 99.962%. This is a naturally occurring mineral salt found in a powder or pellet form, on or near the surface of the earth in mountainous and Lakeland areas of the world.
